ottoman marathon
I taught interior materials at USU this semester and as the final project I had them create their own upholstered ottomans... 8-way hand tied springs, Turkish corners, staple guns, hog rings, etc. It was all possible because John at Rocky Comfort is patient and talented and hosted the workshop at his shop in Logan. (480 W. 1400 North #12). It took 3, 10 hour days to get the whole class through. Worth it. Yeah, my class is the coolest.

next time i come to visit will you teach me?
I want to make one! Those look awesome and fun to make.
That's so nice to find someone local to help your class out.
Where do I sign up? I want to join your class - it looks like SO MUCH FUN!
Wow! Impressive and looks like a blast. :) Matt says "I wish I could build and ottoman as a final project!"
Thank you for telling me about "The Kiss" controversy - I hadn't heard. Cannot imagine why it would cause any trouble - it's one of the most inspired, perfectly-executed pieces of art I've ever encountered. It has such purity and passion, at the same time. Truly, I'll never forget "meeting" it that day in 1979.
Seeing these ottomans again makes me want to take a class! I have about 5 lovely chairs that need recovering here.
WOw! Those are so cute. I love all of the fabrics. I wish I could take your class! I bet you are a fun teacher.
