Delirious with jet-lag.
Walloped by the experience.
I'm going to post 3 pics a day of the Land of Wonder, Land Down Under... soon
But now back to living in the middle...

Last night at the last minute I was invited to see Paul McCartney. [I won't let the fact that I was about the 20th person to be offered the ticket get me down- Carpe Diem]

Joy! A warm breeze in the outdoor arena. He played for over three hours. Blackbird is swirling in my head. I forget how powerful music is. Chills and tears hearing Let it Be:

When I find myself in times of trouble, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.
And in my hour of darkness she is standing right in front of me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, let it be, let it be.
Whisper words of wisdom, let it be.

And when the broken hearted people living in the world agree,
there will be an answer, let it be.
For though they may be parted there is still a chance that they will see,
there will be an answer. let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....
And when the night is cloudy, there is still a light, that shines on me,
shine until tomorrow, let it be.
I wake up to the sound of music, mother Mary comes to me,
speaking words of wisdom, let it be.

Let it be, let it be, .....

You see my dear soul-sister has a daughter in need of your prayers. She graduated from high-school at the beginning of June with a sore-achy throat and in a baffling series of events is now fighting for her life. I visited Saturday night. Sweet, sweet, sun-kissed freckled sleeping Courtney. Her stillness betraying the struggle. Her status updates are here.

Our high-school quarterback has passed away. Cancer. That dreadful disease. Van was impeccable. His siblings as well. A meaningful memory from dear ol' Jordan High is tucked into my heart. Thankyou Van.

Megan's cousin's wife has passed away too. Cancer again. I had never met Krista personally, but her way of being was intoxicating.  Her husband makes Boneless skate pads that a lot of the pros wear. Sort of a local legend. But many times I have been at the Layton skatepark on a Friday night when a skate jam of the "old guys" takes place... and this beautiful woman is carving the cloverbowl right along with them. I silently watch intimidated and fascinated. An outsider drawn to the energy. I have heard so many stories about how she selflessly served others all the while living "with joy."

... there will be an answer. let it be.
